The major focus is the supply of equipment and integrated systems for handling and packing a broad range of powdered products; notably foods for sanitary applications.

They employ skilled mechanical and electrical engineers as well as project managers and draftspersons. Proprietary Colby technologies include high speed rotary fillers, high accuracy intermittent fillers, powder gassing technology, reliable spoon/scoop dispensing machinery and technically advanced powder conveying systems.

GEA Colby is a market leader in powder handling and packing equipment as well as integrated systems, and they generate 75-90% of their turnover from exports. Worldwide, they have supplied the majority of turnkey milk powder packaging systems installed over the last 10 years. As a result they have significant international experience in co-ordination of large international projects.
