The efficient piping system with the focus on quality
What is the optimum piping for a cellar?
GEA Process Engineering knows that business decisions and the production processes in modern plant are greatly governed by factors such as improving product quality, increasing operational safety, minimizing product losses and reducing operating and investment costs. Consequently, the requirements placed on plant engineering and implementation are many and varied.
These conditions have concrete implications also on piping systems: In conventional systems,
fermentation and storage tanks, and also tank blocks in yeast cellars, are linked to the process
via more or less long pipes connecting it with a distribution point, e.g. a valve block or a pipe
fence. The long, mainly horizontal pipelines have some disadvantages, as the illustration below
shows.
