A Jet Pump has many names, for example ejector, venturi, eductor, evacuator, injector or hogger, but what it does, is to take a fluid, be it Liquid, Vapour or Gas, at a pressure and turn that potential energy into useful work.
Our ejectors are designed and manufactured by GEA Wiegand GmbH, who employ tried and tested Wiegand Technology.
The traditional application is to use a Jet Pump to pull a vacuum. However, that vacuum, once generated may itself be used in a multitude of ways, for example, to draw in liquids or gases to dose, dilute or aerate, or steam to heat. It might also be used to mix liquids, compress gases or to clean gases, via jet scrubbing.
To perform this duty the Jet Pump employs no moving parts, but achieves its purpose by employing specially designed venturi nozzles to convert fluid pressure energy to velocity and back again.
The correct design of a jet vacuum pump requires a great deal of experience. GEA Wiegand has been designing and constructing jet pumps for nearly 100 years. You can turn to us with confidence. You will receive a quotation for a jet vacuum pump which is ideally suited to your special requirements.
